Modules: Edit

This page displays the editable parameters for Modules in Joomla.
See bottom of page for specific module help.

Toolbar Icons:
Preview: Click the "Preview" icon to preview only typed modules.

Save : Click the "Save" icon to save the parameters you have chosen and to go back to the ‘Menu Manager [the-menu-you-chose-to-edit]’.

Apply : Click the "Apply" icon to save the parameters you have chosen and to keep the same window open for editing.

Close : Click the "Close" icon to cancel the action and to close the "Modules: Edit" window.

Details:

Title: Type or Edit the title of the module that you wish to display on the Front-end or Back-end of your site.

Show title: Choose if you wish for the "Title" to display or not on the Front-end or Back-end of your site.

Position: Choose which position, on the Front-end or Back-end of your site, the module will display in.

Module order: Choose the order the module will appear among modules assigned to the Front-end or Back-end of your site.

Access Level: Choose who can view this module. Public (everyone can view it), Registered (only registered users can view it), or Special (only special users can view it, as defined under the User Manager in Site -> User Manager -> Add/Edit Users).

Published: Choose "Yes" to publish the module on the Frontend of your Web site (if chosen Position is available in the template) or "No"  to unpublish the module.

ID: This is the ID number for the module item. This is allocated by the Joomla site system when the module is saved.

Description: This is a short description of the functions provided by the Module Type.

Pages / Items (same for any module):  Choose which pages you want the module to be displayed on.

Parameters:

Enable Cache (available for many modules): Select to cache or not the content of this module.
Other parameters may change depending on the module (see below).

Module Class Suffix (available for all module): Type (if needed) the suffix to be aplied to the CSS class of the module (table.moduletable) to allow individual module styling.
